The arts provide personal enrichment, bring people together, foster communal and individual problem solving and abstract thinking, preserve our cultural heritage, and are vital to a thriving economy. A vibrant community is animated by a diversity of quality arts and cultural experiences for all ages and abilities; and robust business and government support of the economic, educational and social benefits of local cultural resources.
Public Value of the Arts
Civic investment and grants allow for public art, historical tours, cultural and arts districts, and multiple venues for expression, all supporting a vibrant arts community and attracting new businesses.
National Endowment for the Arts grants are awarded most often to the Nevada Arts Council, which in turn, grants to organizations and individuals throughout the state.
